Elizabethtown has named 198 students to the College Honors Program. Since its establishment in 1999, the Elizabethtown College Honors Program aims to provide students who have excelled both in academic and extracurricular activities with enhanced learning opportunities. Those selected to participate in the program are encouraged to maintain high standards of scholarship, leadership and service worthy of their intellectual promise and demonstrate initiative.

Several local residents made the academic Deans' List at Azusa Pacific University. These students are honored for a spring 2016 grade-point average of 3.5 or better. They are joined by 1,957 students receiving the same honor.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its spring 2016 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

At 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, graduates in the Class of 2016 took center stage for Elizabethtown College's 113th Commencement. Regina Benjamin, 18th U.S. Surgeon General, was speaker.

Kutztown University has conferred degrees on nearly 1,500 students during the winter and spring terms. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish their requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The following students have been awarded degrees since the winter 2016 announcement. Students who have requested privacy (FERPA) are not listed publicly.

Lebanon Valley College has announced its Dean's List recipients for the fall 2015 semester. Dean's list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0.

Elizabethtown (Pa.) College announced the names of students whose outstanding academic performances have earned them the recognition of being included on the spring 2016 dean's list. Students on the dean's list are full-time undergraduate students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.60 or better in 14 or more credit hours, of which at least 12 credits are letter-graded course work.

More than 1,650 students have been named to the Spring 2016 Dean's List at Kutztown University. To be eligible for Dean's List, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60.

Seventeen members of the graduating Class of 2016 carried on the Dutchmen tradition as legacy students at Lebanon Valley College.

The following students were named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2016 semester at Grove City College.

The following local residents were among the 595 students who received degrees during Commencement exercises at Grove City College on May 14, 2016. Delivering this year's Commencement address was Dr. Ben Carson, renowned pediatric neurosurgeon and former 2016 Republican presidential candidate. The Class of 2016 was the second largest class in Grove City College history, coming in just shy of the 596-member Class of 2010. In recent years, the Grove City College's four-year graduation rate has climbed to 78 percent, while its six-year graduation rate has reached 85 percent. The average graduation rate in the U.S. is 59 percent.

Lebanon Valley College celebrated its 147th Commencement on Saturday, May 14 with 476 students receiving their degrees in Sorrentino Gymnasium. The 369 graduating seniors were joined by 37 doctor of physical therapy candidates, and 70 master's degree candidates.

Lebanon Valley College honored 66 members of the Class of 2016 as Green Dot ambassadors for their commitment to campus violence prevention.

Lebanon Valley College inducted 24 students to its Phi Sigma Iota honor society on April 13, 2016, as part of Inquiry 2016. Phi Sigma Iota, the Department of Languages honor society, recognizes outstanding accomplishment in the study or teaching of any of the academic fields related to foreign language, literature, or culture. These fields include not only modern foreign languages, but also classics, linguistics, philology, comparative literature, bilingual education, second language acquisition, and other interdisciplinary programs with a significant foreign language component. Phi Sigma Iota is the highest academic honor in the field of foreign languages, with 250 chapters of Phi Sigma Iota at institutions of higher learning in the U.S., Mexico, and France.

Lebanon Valley College inducted nine students to its Psi Chi honor society on April 5, 2016, as part of Inquiry 2016. Psi Chi, the Psychology Department honor society, was founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology. Membership is open to graduate and undergraduate men and women who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests, and who meet the minimum qualifications.

Nearly 200 Lebanon Valley College undergraduates–a record-breaking amount–from every academic department displayed their work to an audience of faculty, peers, trustees, administrators, industry reps, and friends of the College during the annual Inquiry Symposium held on April 14 in Sorrentino Gymnasium.

First-year Elizabethtown College students, who have maintained a GPA of 3.5 or higher and are in the top 20 percent of their class, are invited to become members of Alpha Lambda Delta, a national organization founded in 1924. The mission of Alpha Lambda Delta is to encourage superior academic achievement, promote intelligent living and a continued high standard of learning, and to assist students in recognizing and developing meaningful goals for their unique roles in society.

Hard work in high school has paid off for college-bound seniors. The following students have earned Merit Scholarships to attend Alvernia University this fall.
